The HDMI forum, which develops and manages HDMI specifications, has officially launched the final and complete specifications for HDMI version 2.2. First of all revealed to these 2025Version 2.2 has been designed to make it easier to send videos with cooling rates and higher resolutions for modern televisions, such as those with 4K and 8K screens. Version 2.2 cables must be marked with the ultra96 function name, which indicates that they support up to 96 Gbit / s in the bandwidth and all HDMI 2.2 applications.
The label guarantees buyers that they buy a certified product with the functionalities they need, because the HDMI ultra high -speed cables are only supported up to 48 Gbit / s in a maximum bandwidth. HDMI 2.2 cables are able to send content with resolution up to 12k to 120 IPS and 16K to 60 IPS resolution to support devices. They also support uncompressed complete chrome formats such as 8K resolution at 60 IPS / 4: 4: 4 and 4K at 240 IPS / 4: 4: 4 to 10 bits and 12 bits.
