Here’s How to Move the Chrome Address Bar to the Bottom of Android Phone Screens

From Tuesday, Chrome for Android users can now place the address bar at the bottom of their phone screens, a decision that finally arrives almost 17 years after the first Android phone struck the market in 2008. Users can always keep the address bar at the top, but be able to have it at the bottom can be logical for people with a certain size of hands or a certain phone size.

In a blog article TuesdayGoogle said that “a address bar position can be more comfortable than the other. We have designed this update to give you flexibility to choose your favorite location – so that you can travel more facilitated.”

To move the address bar from top to bottom, Google asks “Press in the long term and select the” Move the address bar “option” or simply access the settings menu and select the “address bar” to choose your favorite spot. “

All the options will move with the address bar, including the tab switch, the three -point overflow menu and other shortcuts. And you can keep the address bar at the top if you prefer.

Google said the address bar travel option will eventually be available for all users in the coming weeks.

Small change that makes a difference

Giving users the address bar option comes a few years after Apple did the same with its Safari search bar With the iOS 15 deployment.
