Huge cable theft on French railway disrupts Eurostar and TGV services

The Eurostar services between the United Kingdom and the EU were restored after a chaotic day of delays and cancellations, dozens of high-speed TGV trains in the north of France. The major disturbance was caused by the flight of more than 600 meters of rail cable near the city of Lille.
