Hundreds of American citizens evacuated Iran in last week before America, hitting three of the main Iranian nuclear sites on Saturday, according to a State department Cable, reported Reuters.
While many Americans were able to leave without problems, “many” citizens had to face “delays and harassment” while trying to leave, added the point of sale, quoting the cable that would have dated Friday. Two citizens who try to leave Iran would have been detained.
The evacuation difficulties reported by the Americans highlight the broader challenges that Washington met in the assistance to his nationals in Iran, a country that has had no diplomatic link with the United States since the Iranian Revolution in 1979.
The State Department told Fox News Digital that American citizens could be confronted with more difficulty getting out than those who have double American citizenship.

State Department spokesperson Tammy Bruce said in a press briefing on Friday that the United States had no higher priority than American security and security, adding that the administration offered advice to thousands of people on how to leave Iran and Israel in the midst of intensified tensions between the two countries.

In the meantime. American ambassador to Israel Mike Huckabee said Thursday that the administration was considering different ways to get American citizens from this country out.
“We are working to obtain military, commercial, charter and cruise ships for Evac,” said Huckabee in a post.
