Israeli hospital hit by Iranian missile as Israel attacks heavy water reactor in Iran

Dubai, United Arab Emirates – The South-South Hospital of Israel suffered a direct blow Thursday from an Iranian missile, those responsible for “significant damage”.

Distinct Iranian strikes have struck a building of high height apartments in Tel Aviv and other sites in the center of Israel. A hospital in Tel Aviv said that he had received 16 injured, three with serious injuries.

Journalists from the French news agency AFP said they heard “violent and supported explosions” in Tel Aviv and Jerusalem.

Developments have occurred while President Trump was reflecting if the United States would participate directly in Israel’s efforts to destroy the Iranian nuclear program.

A spokesperson for the Soroka Medical Center in Beer Sheba said the hospital had suffered “significant damage” in different regions and that people were injured in the attack. The hospital has asked that people do not come for treatment.

Israeli officials said that the hospital part of the hospital had been evacuated before the strike.

Magen Director of Magen David Adom – Israel’s emergency rescue service – said: “Last night, the Ministry of Health gave instructions to further erase the soil that was damaged in Soroka. Many lives were saved.”

The Israeli Minister of Health, Uriel Bosso, described the attack on “act of terrorism and a crossing of a red line. A war crime by the Iranian regime which was deliberately committed against innocent civilians and medical teams dedicated to saving lives. The Ministry of Health was prepared in advance, and thanks to the immediate actions that we have taken, a very serious disaster approved. “

The hospital has more than 1,000 beds and provides services to around 1 million residents in southern Israel, according to its website.

The strike occurred while Israel attacked the Iranian Heavy Water Arak on Thursday, Iranian state television said on Thursday.

The report indicated that there was “no danger of radiation”. An Iranian state television journalist, appearing live in the neighboring city of Khondab, said that the installation had been evacuated and that there was no damage to the civil zones around the reactor.

Israel had warned earlier Thursday morning that he would attack the installation and urged the public to flee the region.

The Israeli army said that the Thursday air strike series targeted Tehran and other Iran regions, without developing. He later declared that Iran had drawn new salve from missiles to Israel and told the public to take refuge.

The seventh day of Israel’s air strikes on Iran came once after Iran’s supreme chief rejected calls to the United States on delivery and warned that any military involvement of the Americans would cause “irreparable damage”. Israel has also raised certain restrictions on daily life, suggesting that the threat of Iran’s missiles on its territory is assumed.

Already, the Israel campaign has targeted the Iranian Uranium enrichment site in Natanz, centrifuge workshops around Tehran and a nuclear site in Isfahan. Its strikes also killed the best generals and nuclear scientists.

An Iranian human rights group based in Washington said that at least 639 people, including 263 civilians, had been killed in Iran and more than 1,300 injured. In retaliation, Iran pulled some 400 missiles and hundreds of drones, killing at least 24 people in Israel and injuring hundreds. Some have struck apartments in the center of Israel, causing heavy damage.

The Arak heavy water reactor is 155 miles southwest of Tehran.

Heavy water helps to cool nuclear reactors, but it produces plutonium as a by-product that can potentially be used in nuclear weapons. This would provide Iran with another path to the bomb beyond enriched uranium, if he chose to continue the weapon.

Iran had agreed under its 2015 nuclear agreement with the global powers to rethink the installation to relieve proliferation problems.

In 2019, Iran began the secondary circuit of the heavy water reactor, which at the time did not violate Tehran’s nuclear agreement with the world powers.

Great Britain at the time helped Iran to rethink the Arak reactor to limit the quantity of plutonium it produces, intervening for the United States, which had withdrawn from the project after the decision of President Trump in 2018 to unilaterally withdraw America from the nuclear agreement.

The International Atomic Energy Agency, the United Nations nuclear surveillance dog, has urged Israel not to strike Iranian nuclear sites. IAEA inspectors would have visited Arak last time on May 14.

Due to the restrictions that Iran has imposed on inspectors, the IAEA said that it had lost “the continuity of knowledge” on the production of heavy water from Iran – which means that it could absolutely not check the production and stock of Tehran.

As part of the negotiations around the 2015 agreement, Iran agreed to sell its heavy water to the West to remain in accordance with the conditions of the agreement. Even the United States has bought some 32 tonnes of heavy water for more than $ 8 million in one agreement. It was a problem that sparked criticism from the adversaries of the pact.
