In response to the caller who asked if the ABC would be to shoot Moran, Stewart replied on Thursday, June 12. “Weekly Show” podcast, “of course no. So stupid. No, for God’s sake. They should not have shot him.”

“Literally, every day on the Fox News, they take goods from the context, or their people say completely nasty things about democratic politicians and all kinds of other things,” Stewart, 62, said. “The whole thing is because ABC sticks to this facade that they somehow exist in the bubble outside of all this. It’s a joke.”
ABC News reported on Tuesday, June 10 that it would not renew Moran’s contract after he had previously interrupted him over the tweet of Trump and White House deputy chief Stephen Miller.
“We are at the end of our agreement with Terry Moran and based on his recent message – which was a clear violation of ABC news policy, we have made the decision to be renewing,” the network spokesman stated in his statement. “At ABC News, we keep all our suppliers to the highest objectivity, justice and professional skills, and we are still committed to providing straightforward, trusted journalism.”
ABC had originally interrupted Moran on Sunday, June 8, after the White House press secretary criticized the post.
Moran, 65, referred to Miller and Trump, 78, “world -class haters[s]“X post that has since been removed.
“Miller is a man with plenty of anger.” Trump is a world -class hate. But his anger is just a way to finish and it ends his own glory [sic]. It’s his spiritual nutrition. “
White house press secretary Karoline Leavitt Respond to criticism by writing through X earlier this month: “This is ruthless and impossible to accept. We have reached @ABC to inquire about how they intend to consider Terry responsible.”
Mora, ABC News’ senior national correspondent, had been on the network since 1997 before leaving.
