Joybird Eliot Sleeper Sofa Review: Gorgeous and Functional

In 2020, My colleague Scott Gilbertson tried the Joybird Eliot sofa. And he hated that. Since then, the Joybird Eliot has been the only choice of the “Avoid” section of our Sofa purchasing guide. When Joybird set out to explain that he had reorganized the Eliot (and his customer service – more about it later), I was skeptical to try it. But I did it for you, reader, and I am happy to announce that after three months of tests, this improved sofa wins a passing note in my book.

Each Joybird Eliot sofa is a personalized matter and made on order. The Eliot is available in several styles and configurations. I have chosen to try the sofa bed, since I am looking for a good sofa with a built-in bed for our buying guide. Joybird sent me a sample kit full of delicious little squares of fabric in a rainbow of colors. (Customers can also get this kit for free.) There are nearly 80 different fabrics to choose, including options suitable for pets and lush velvet business. Some of these fabrics add an overload.

After examining the samples for a few days, I opted for the Bay of Royale, a durable and soft pink velvet which was labeled for pets and stains resistant. The mattress had two options: standard memory foam or tempur-response (yes, of Tempur-Pedic). The website has useful tools such as AR visualization, as well as specific dimensions so that you can measure your space or for delivery.

There are certain advantages and disadvantages in this process. Since the sofas are tailor -made, the manufacturing process can take weeks. But on the positive side, these sofas are delivered with a delivery of a white glove in person, in which a team will come and place your new sofa wherever it is. This adds additional costs that vary in pricing depending on where you get the sofa. Once the sofa is ready, you can define a delivery date. Make sure that the area where your sofa will live is clear and that the team will take care of the rest. The delivery of my sofa lasted less than 10 minutes and the team took the packaging materials with them.

The sofa looked even better than I envisage, with well constructed cushions and even seams. He has two siege cushions and two rear cushions, with a sofa bed. I like the modern style of the middle of the century, which goes well with the rest of my house, and the hot pink velvet fabric with berries is soft and soft to the touch. It is also durable and resistant to stains, and it is well bound for many spills. I love his appearance in my living room, and I had a lot of house facts say the same thing.

One of Scott’s largest complaints about this sofa was the unequal filling distribution, which Joybird has since reworked. The company said that it had redesigned the corner blocks, adjusted the cushioning and worked with the supplier to improve tufted buttons. Some specific Eliot models have obtained other adjustments, such as an additional support beam. My sofa has even completed the distribution, and even if I am the kind of person who sits in the same place on the sofa for hours a day (I usually work in the living room), mine has resisted and remains comfortable to sit. It’s a bit firm, what I like in my sofas – I don’t receive this flowing feeling, stuck on the sofa I have with previous sofas that I tested.
