The defense of Karen Read saved his strongest witness for the end, the experts say to Fox News Digital, bringing Dr. Andrew Renntschler to try to demystify the statements of the accusation on the way in which his boyfriend, Boston cop John O’Keefe, died.
The jurors have the day of leave on Thursday and will start the deliberations after receiving the judge’s instructions and listened to the closing arguments on Friday.
Reading, 45, is accused of having struck O’Keefe, 46, with his SUV Lexus LX 570 2021 on January 29, 2022 and leaving him to die on the ground with a fracture of the skull during a blizzard.

His defense denies that his vehicle has already hit O’Keefe, and Remers spent two days on the stand to explain how he came to the conclusion that O’Keefe’s injuries were incompatible with a vehicle strike on a pedestrian.
“I don’t think the injury is compatible with being struck by a SUV about 24 miles on time,” he said.
O’Keefe had no broken bone on his right arm, only superficial abrasions, he said. Based on his tests at Arcca, a crash reconstruction company, he said that the arm should have undergone more serious damage.
Rentschler said he didn’t believe Read’s SUV could have hit O’Keefe on the basis of his injuries and his arcca tests.
But the special prosecutor Hank Brennan has grilled him backwards, wondering what extent his tests were meticulous and forcing him to concede that he did not take into account pieces of rear light on the ground near O’Keefe and integrated into his clothes.

“The prosecutor will certainly be zero-in on this fence,” said David Gelman, a Philadelphia Criminal defense lawyer and former prosecutor. “The closures will be essential for both parties now. Brennan and [defense attorney Alan] Jackson are both strong personalities, so it’s going to be tall. “”
Brennan also revealed Wednesday afternoon that he would not call a refutation witness of the stand before the case returned to the jurors.

“He methodically explained why the theory of the DA of a SUV-CEESTRISE strike does not hold,” said Mark Bederow, the Lawyer based in New York Representation of Read Ally’s blogger and Canton Aidan Kearney. “Lack of arm injuries, the lack of holes in the hooded sweatshirt, which does not correspond to the correspondence with the abrasions of the amount, the final location of John O’Keefe does not make sense.”
He argued that the projection of rentschler could have encouraged Brennan to “shake the white flag” rather than reminding Dr. Judson Welcher at the refutation stand.

Welcher drew the opposite conclusion of Rentschler – testifying that, in his opinion, the SUV of Read cut O’Keefe with a boost, the stunning of the balance sheet before falling and cracked his skull.
