In an exclusive declaration to Fox News Digital, US Agency for Global Media (USAGM) Kari Lake confirmed This Persian Press Service of the Voice of the United States (VOA) accelerates the coverage while the tensions between Iran and Israel is intensifying.
“The story is underway, and the Persian VOA information service is used to cover it,” said Lake on Friday.
“The Farsi language is a required rule for USAGM. We accelerate – as we have always planned to do – to meet this historic moment,” she continued. “All those recalled have been on paid administrative leave, so they are simply called back to the office to cover this Historical moment in Iran. “”

“The Persian VOA information service covers, very well, one of the most consecutive moments in Iran’s history,” she concluded.
Lake’s remarks follow the recall of approximately 75 FARSI language employees, including dozens of journalists, administrative leave, according to The Washington Post. Most come back to cover the growing conflict, which started with Israel’s precision strike on Iranian nuclear sites and was followed by the Iranian missile dam in Israeli cities.
This decision comes after months of cost reduction in VOA and USAGM funded by the government.
In May, Trump administration Licensed more than 500 entrepreneurs in personal service and has placed 800 other employees on leave from March. The objective: to eliminate waste and to refocus on the statutory mission of the agency.

Now, with Iran on the edge and the watching world, the Persian division of Voa is back on the front lines. Journalists say they are preparing to resume complete satellite television shows in Iran, not just online updates.
Some in Voa have raised concerns. “Will they bring back a language whenever there is a crisis for which the administration interests?” A source told Washington Post.
