Kavya Maran goes crazy as Ishan Kishan celebrates wildly after stunning IPL 2025 ton
The 26-year-old India National Cricket Team wicketkeeper-batsman Ishan Kishan played a stunning knock in the tournament opener of his team – Sunrisers Hyderabad – in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025.
The second match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 between the Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) and Rajasthan Royals (RR) is currently underway at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, Uppal, Hyderabad.

After his long stint with the Mumbai Indians (MI), Kishan joined the Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) as the franchise bought him at the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 mega auction for INR 11.25 crore
The left-handed batter proved his worth with a brilliant batting performance in his first match with the new franchise. He came out to bat at the No.3 spot after Abhishek Sharma and Travis Head provided SRH with a great start.
Ishan Kishan started playing attacking cricket right from the word go. He smashed the RR bowlers all over the park and reached the half-century milestone off 25 balls.
Kishan accelerated further and completed his century off 45 balls on the last ball of the 19th over. He took a double off Sandeep Sharma to achieve the feat and ran across the pitch after taking his helmet off to celebrate wildly.
Kishan was seen roaring after hitting the ton, and the SRH owner, Kavya Maran, who was in the stands, was seen clapping in delight and saying, ‘Yes boy.’

Speaking on ESPNCricinfo ahead of the SRH vs RR clash, Varun Aaron said that Kishan would be hungry to make a mark in the Indian Premier 2025 as he will aim to get back to the scheme of things in Indian cricket.
Varun Aaron also said that the Sunrisers Hyderabad have got a great potential to reach the score of 300 runs in an innings in IPL 2025. He elaborated:
“Definitely it does look stronger than last year. Ishan Kishan is coming in really hungry this season to make a mark because he’s fallen out of favor in the Indian team.
“He’s fallen way low in the pecking order compared to a lot of other keepers. He definitely doesn’t want to be there. He’s been really hungry for runs, not had the best domestic season, but he’s going to want to make it up with a good IPL and then they’ve got Abhinav Manohar as well. We’ve seen that he’s a capable finisher. He can hit some big shots down the order.”
“For sure. They lacked somebody to take the tempo up if Klaasen got out at some stage, but this year they’re not going to have that problem, hopefully. From the outlook of things, obviously on paper, before the IPL, things look a certain way, but when the first ball is bowled, when things start flying around, we all see what’s actually going to happen.”
