Kenyan police shoot protester at close range during latest protests over blogger's death

In Kenya, a police officer was arrested on Tuesday for shooting an unarmed spectator on the chain at close range during the last demonstrations against police brutality. The victim would be in critical condition in the hospital. The rallies were held to call for the resignation of the deputy chief of the police, Eliud Langat, who was accused of online corruption by teacher Alber Ojawang at the beginning of the month. A few days after the Ojawang posts, he was placed in police custody where he was killed. Langgat has dismissed, but the demonstrators want him to go.
