Kinneta shows off VR fitness workouts that take the boredom out of exercise


PlayerAn extended reality company based in New York (XR) shows its applications of treadmill and XR bicycle that take people in more exciting training sessions.

At Increased global exhibition (AWE) Show in Long Beach, California, the company shows its virtual reality and augmented reality solutions to replace boring and repetitive cardio training with XR fitness applications that associate people with the best fitness coaches.

Applications allow people to exercise the best fitness coaches on a breathtaking sites in the world.

Alternatively, users can bring Kinneta’s professional coaches to their home or gymnasium as a photorealist holograms for a private class. The application was published in the meta-magasin in partnership with the major brands of treadmill and cycling, Woodway and Wattbike, which bring their machines to AWE 2025.

“Our gamified experience for bicycle has a game where users strike and dodge targets with their body and arms to the rhythm of music while pedaling the bicycle,” said Jenna Arndt, co -founder and responsible for physical form in Kinneta, in an interview with Gamesbeat. “What is really cool is that we have indeed allowed the connected mode so that the pedaling of users has a direct impact on the score of their training. The closer they are to hit the pace, the bigger their score.

At AWE, the company will make its debut on gamified training for Xreal Ar Glasses, where bicycle users go through competitive challenges based on the rhythm of body mobility, in which the alignment of the user’s cadence on Wattbike with the rhythm of the song gives the user in the game, said Arndt.

Arndt said: “It will be available both in VR and AR, therefore during the conference, we will show it on the meta -investigation as well as on XREAL glasses. And then, in addition, we have our other new product – scenic training sessions led by a coach.

For the moment, most players are XR users at home. But over time, the company hopes that more gymnasiums will offer equipment to their members, Arndt said. Equinox, a gymnasium company, has hundreds of gymnasiums and it plans to deploy it.

“Everyone expects lighter helmets, cheaper helmets and higher resolution,” said Polokhin.

Ilya Polokhin, CEO of Kinneta, started working with VR Motion Simulators in 2014, after managing car and detail operations for 15 years. He launched an American VR simulation center, Hubneo VR Lab, in 2017. Then he co-founded Octonic with David Wen, Kinneta chief engineer, in 2020. His main hobbies are VR games and long distance race, and he decided to marry them.

Wen has more than eight years of experience by working on everything, from complete applications to operations at the system level and AI. He has been in the development of virtual reality with Unity since he joined Polokhin at the Hubneo VR Lab in 2017. Outside of work, David is a competitive strategy game player and a regular regular expert.

Nahyan Ahmad, co -founder and business development manager, has already played key roles in Jump Into the Light, a VR center in Manhattan, where he also produced creative content alongside artists like Bill Pullman and Patricia Field. He has more than seven years of experience in the XR space.

And Arndt has more than 12 years of experience in the health and well-being industry. She was a member of the founding team in several boutique fitness studios in New York and spent nearly a decade at Swerve Fitness, where she was a chief coach and vice-president of fitness programming.

From 2021, Polokhin and Wen used their expertise to build a locomotion solution for fitness treadmills.

“It was a good combination of our technical expertise in VR and passion,” said Polokhin. “The idea was therefore that we really allow people to run on a fitness treadmill or a bicycle on a site like a stationary cycle while they are in reality virtual. This is how everything came together.”

The team has eight people. It is a small team, since some of the competitions include peloton, which sell a lot of fitness treadmills.

“Competition for us changes the state of mind of people more, rather than any other XR startup which is trying to do something in the fitness industry that is identical to us,” said Polokhin.

The company has a subscription model for $ 9.99 per month or $ 99.99 per year, Wen said. AR has a lot of rear winds right now while AR glasses are married to a generative AI, which takes off due to all the excitement concerning AI and Apple in the passage of mixed reality headsets.

“We are expecting another generation of apple helmets,” said Polokhin. “We want to open more and more different experiences.”

Kinneta at present has more than 50 different environments – places where people can go to – and many business training are theme, Arndt said.
