How the dispute was born
On Wednesday, June 18, Tiktokeri called @Blaq.monalisa set the Internet -Ablazen after sharing a video showing Kroger’s summer desserts in the Atlanta store, Georgia. He zoomed directly into the cake area, revealing some questionable deserts set on the screen.
One cake was only frosting around the edges with the words “free @ last” written in the middle. The other one was “free” on June 19, while one third was decorated with whipped cream only at the edges, and the middle was “free”.
Tiktoker compared the June -year objects with the usual cakes of the corridor, which he thought looked much more polished and attractive. Tiktoker also asked why desserts that were to celebrate the vacation seemed to be missing the trouble. “This is some bulls ** t. Who h *** made this ugly ** s ** t.” Tiktokeri says on the clip. “I hope there is a manager here, you decorate everything else here with cute. But at the age of June you want to throw something cookie and expect someone to buy it.”

Kroger responds to online lanes
Kroger does not waste time to deal with criticism to throw their way. In the statement PEOPLEThe company admitted that the desserts were in my pocket. In addition, Kroger agreed to remove them as soon as possible. The grocery store chain confirmed that they pulled the products off the shelves and contacted the store team and Tiktoker directly to solve the problem.
“The cakes and cookies presented in the video were at odds with the instructions provided and not the quality we expect from our stores,” they said.
Tiktokeri returned with an update
However, Tiktoker @Blaq.monalisa was not made of tea. On the day after his video became viral, he returned to the same Kroger and noticed a big change. Juneteenh cakes? Gone. Juneteenh cookies? Although he was still a bit eye -catching in the store because he did not replace the cakes with a better alternative, he still gave store registers to increase the game and better dessert options.
