Line-ups revealed as three return to matchday squad

Tottenham’s season hinges on their success in the Europa League and they travel to AZ Alkmaar for the first leg of the last-16.

Spurs have been dealing with a huge injury crisis in 2025 but fans will be delighted to see some familiar names back in the squad.

Alkmaar star striker Troy Parrott will be hoping to deal some damage to the club that sold him last summer, particularly after drawing a blank in the league phase game.

Should Ange Postecoglou’s men put in a performance we know they are capable of, it should be a routine night for them heading back to North London.

Alkmaar have matches their opponent’s formation.

Rome Owusu-Oduro is in goal, behind Seiya Maikuma, Wouter Goes, Alexandre Penetra and David Moller Wolfe.

Jordy Clasie, Zico Burrmeester and Peer Koopmeiners make up the midfield three.

Ernest Poku is on the right and Mayckel Lahdo is on the left.

There is no return to the starting XI for Micky van de Ven, Cristian Romero or Dominic Solanke but all three make the bench.

Guglielmo Vicario is in goal, with Djed Spence, Archie Gray, Kevin Danso and Destiny Udogie in defence.

Rodrigo Bentancur partners Lucas Bergvall in the midfield pivot.

Brennan Johnson and Heung-Min Son start either side of James Maddison.

And Mathys Tel starts as Spurs’ striker.
