The next version of iphone The software is iOS 26 – And no, it’s not a typing fault. Apple has announced the new name and the new liquid glass look WWDC 2025 Earlier this week. The update of iOS 26 is delivered with many features and improvements that I have wanted for some time, including screening for calls.
Last year, we obtained the Apple Intelligence, and the previous year, the company unveiled the Pro vision. This year, Apple has renamed all its software and made it more unified. It may not seem as important as previous WWDCs, but if you hoped that Apple would speak more on software and less on AISo it was your year. Instead of obtaining iOS 19, Apple published iOS 26. In general, a new version of iOS is released in the fall, but it can receive smaller updates in the spring and the following summer. IOS 26 is therefore a reference to the fact that he will obtain minor updates until 2026.
The biggest update was not the iOS name change. It was liquid glass, a design overhaul that adds transparency and aims to reduce distraction. However, the instantaneous reaction of some people was less than favorable to the new look. I am fascinated by what I saw with liquid glass and I look forward to testing it as part of the beta iOS 26 version. But Liquid Glass did not make me understand that some of the other apple characteristics included in iOS 26, such as the overhaul of the camera application.
This year’s WWDC theme is consistency – consistency in terms of the global experience of an Apple device owner. IOS 26 is an excellent example because it brings a sophisticated and contemporary feeling to the iPhone software.
Discover my iOS 26 video above, in which I guide you through all the major features of the new iOS and shows you some smaller (some could find them banal) that fascinate me.
IOS 26 will be launched this fall and is now available as a beta developer. The public beta version will be available in July. You need an iPhone 11 or more recent to use iOS 26. If you want to take a look before its release, I recommend waiting for the public beta version and even not running it on your main iPhone.
