Making his mark: Lisbon street artist Vhils

Instead of a brush, Alexandre Farto uses exercises and jackmen to create large -scale public art that exposes the strata of the history of a city. Once considered a vandal known by his label, Vhils, he fueled the artistic scene of the flourishing street in his native Lisbon, Portugal, where murals added a colored touch to otherwise neglected or banal strata, and he transformed buildings in the cities of the world by exposing layers of history.
