Marc Marquez beats Marco Bezzecchi in a dramatic race that claimed his brother Alex, who crashed from the competition.
Marc Marquez delivered a clinical masterclass to the cathedral of Speed de MotoGP to win the victory at the Dutch Grand Prix while his brother and the closest competitor Alex underwent an end -of -race accident which left him a fractured hand.
While Aten celebrated his motorcycle centenary, the elder Marquez took control of the second round on Sunday and did not look back as he extends his championship advantage at 68 points on Alex while looking for a seventh title.
Marco Bezzecchi of Aprilia finished second while Francesco Bagnaia de Ducati arrived third, the champion of the twice set now an intimidating difference of 126 points to his teammate after 10 laps.
Bagnaia had won the last three races in Assen, but despite the head in the lead very early, it was pushed to fourth place before recovering to finish on the podium in front of Pedro Acosta of KTM.
Marc, who crashed twice on Friday, also equaled the Giacomo Agostini motorcycle with 68 leading class victories and now aims at his former Rival Valentino Rossi who ended his career with 89 victories.
The Yamaha Fabio Quartararo had claimed pole position but crashed in the sprint on Saturday – where Marc won his ninth victory
of the season – and the Frenchman was slowed down while Bagnaia made the perfect start.
Alex de Gresini Racing was in second place, but on the round one of the following tours, Marc took his step to exceed his brother and placed behind his teammate, patiently waiting to jump with 24 laps in the race.
Alex has briefly lost his concentration and Bezzecchi, sporting a new aerodynamic package on his Aprilia, getting a path in front of Gresini’s rider while Acosta also made a stick of surpassing to push the young mark in the fifth.

In advance, Marc found a gap before the last chicane in the five -tone to overtake Bagnaia and take the lead while his brother Alex crashed when he looked into Acosta and lost his balance when they contacted a fourth battle.
Alex seemed to lock his front tire in the incident, which gave a puff of smoke while the bicycle pushed his rider directly on the ground.
He was immediately taken to the medical center where a left fracture was confirmed, Gresini saying that the 29 -year -old would fly to Madrid for surgery later. More information on the expected recovery calendar of Alex should emerge on Monday.
Bagnaia seemed to lose the rhythm while Bezzecchi and Acosta moved to podium positions. But the Italian rider Ducati snatched third place from Acosta at the end of Tour 14 to set Bezzecchi.
But all that Bezzecchi has done to put pressure on Marc, the champion of MotoGP of six times did not move when he managed his tires and maintained his rhythm until he took the checkered flag.
The MotoGP calendar has a weekend before meeting for the German Grand Prix in fortnight.
