Meta announced on Wednesday that he added a summary feature to WhatsApp. The new optional functionality uses Meta AI to summarize unrelated messages in a cat.
This summary would only be visible for you, no others in your cat, notes the company.
The functionality is based on AI technology that Meta released in AprilThis has enabled the company to implement AI’s features which have no impact on user encryption or confidentiality.
“Message summaries use private processing technology, which allows Meta AI to generate an answer without meta or Whatsapp by seeing your messages or private summaries. No one in the cat can see either that you have summarized unrelated messages,” said the company in a blog.
Although the functionality is deactivated by default, WhatsApp displays a small icon to indicate that the functionality is available for you.
Meta initially deploys functionality in the United States with support in English. It will reach more countries and languages later this year.
Until now, users can access Meta IA in the cat to ask general questions or mark a message to give the context of the chatbot. However, Meta Ai couldn’t read your messages.
Meta said the new battery allows WhatsApp to access the context from your cat in private to process requests via its AI. This allows him to summarize messages or provide writing suggestions.
The new features fueled by AI are available in a new parameter that can be accessible via parameters> cats> Private treatment, which allows you to activate or deactivate individual functions.
