Meta continued the manufacturer of a popular AI “Nudify” application, Crush IA, which would have broadcast thousands of announcements on Meta platforms. In addition to the trial, Meta says she takes new measures to repress other applications like Crush IA.
In a trial brought in Hong Kong, Meta presumed Joy Timeline HK, the entity behind Crush IA, tried to bypass the company’s examination process to distribute advertisements for AI Nudify services. Meta declared in a blog post that he had repeatedly deleted the advertisements by the entity for having violated his policies, but claims that Joy Timeline HK still continued to place additional announcements.
Crush ia, which uses a generative AI to make false sexually explicit images of real people without their consent, broadcast more than 8,000 announcements for its “IA Underdreser” services on the Meta platform During the first two weeks of 2025, according to the author of the Newsletter Faked Up, Alexios Mantzarlis.
