Middlesbrough appoint Rob Edwards as new boss

Middlesbrough have confirmed the supplement of Rob Edwards as Head Coach on Three-Year Deal.

Edwards Moves to Teesside to Succeed Michael Carrick, who was sacked after Middlesbrough Failed to reach the Championship Play-Offs Last Season.

Edwards Said: “It’s a real privilege to be the opportunity to be coach of this great football club. It’s something that’s not lost on me, how big this is, how important this is, and what it means to people. There is an amazing fanbase.

Edwards is Renown for a Physical, Direct Approach and It Remains to Be Seen If That Well with the Riverside Faithful.

But Boro’s Head of Football Kieran Scott Said the Form Blackpool Defender was the stand-out candidate.

“Rob is someone who i’ve been aware of for a long time and the piece followed his development as a coach closely,” Scott Said.

“He made History at Forest Green Rovers, and to Win Promotion to the Premier League With Luton Town Was A Fantastic Achievement.

“We had an exciting pool of candidates for this role, but we felt that rob was the stand-out and we are very impressed upon meeting him and listening to him talk about his vision for the club.
