The candidates who almost passed and received a second reading on their written questions will receive the highest of two scores for each question, as opposed to the average of the first and second reading scores that the bar had initially achieved.
The candidates will be informed this week if the adjustments have given them passing scores. This change, unlike many other remedies, does not require approval of Supreme State CourtThe bar told Bloomberg Law.
Applicants for the July exam will be automatically withdrawn if the bar determines that they have passed the February test, the bar said.
The scoring changes are the last of a series of appeals that the bar chiefs approve thousands of candidates whose legal careers were affected by the examination which has crashed on the day of the test.

After the approval of the Supreme Court of the State, the state bar has already implemented a Lower gross crossing score And “imputed” scores for candidates who have failed to finish important parts of the two -day exam.
The Court of Barreau examiners will soon ask the Supreme Court of the State to also approve a rating method which could increase certain scores on the performance part of their exams using statistical analysis, according to Bloomberg Law.
The Supreme State Court was also invited to consider a proposal to authorize all the February applicants – including those who withdrew before the exam – to practice the law provisionally under the supervision of a lawyer.
The February examination was the beginnings of the distant and hybrid test of California without the components of the national bar exam that the State has been using for decades. The change aimed to save up to $ 3.8 million a year, but the resolution of all its problems for the July exam should now add nearly $ 6 million in costs.

Some trustee of the State Bar have expressed their discomfort with regard to some of the remedies proposed by the higher examination and success rate, stressing the bar to protect the public from unskilled lawyers.
The bar said it faced the difficult task of finding “fair solutions” that maintained the integrity of the exam. The bar “would never take measures to harm its public protection mission,” he said in a statement.
