MSI Titan is not for the low hearts – it has never been. It is an 18 -inch giant, which is part of this class of “office replacement” of Laptop gaming. This in particular is intended for PC players who do not want the best performance, but also a little bling.
You will find it difficult to find a laptop game with the many high -end features. With a LED mini-screen, a mechanical keyboard and an invisible haptic touchpad, there is no other 18-inch game laptop like this, and this also means a flashy price.
MSI Titan is massive. He is 1.26 inch thick at his biggest point and weighs almost eight pounds. You read that right. Eight whole pounds. Laptops of playing are not known to be particularly portable, especially those with 18 -inch screens, but MSI Titan HX is almost a full book heavier than the Razer Blade 18.
However, it is heavy and well designed, as you hoped in a laptop north of $ 5,000. It is not a single piece of machined aluminum like the Razer 18 blade, but the chassis in magnesium-aluminum alloy seems solid. The MSI Titan HX uses a thermal shelf on the back, which makes the computer laptop, but offering a projection for additional ventilation and ports. MSI keeps it fairly minimalist with the entirely black interior and silver fillings, in particular compared to the old versions of this laptop. The invisible touchpad makes it even more modern. And yet, both the Razer 18 and Alienware 18 Zone-51 are more informed designs in my book.

At the rear, you will find the electrical outlet, the HDMI 2.1 and Ethernet port. Next to a few mountains, you will find three USB-A 3.2. Gen2 ports on the side, as well as the two Thunderbolt 5 ports, the SD card slot and a headphone jack. It is almost all the ports that you can imagine, but the Thunderbolt 5 ports are the interesting part.
Intel sent me several Thunderbolt 5 accessories to show how the bandwidth of the new specification provides. I installed two 240 Hz 32 inch 240 Hz OLED game instructorsAll powered via a single USB-C cable. It’s magic to see these two high rate monitors Being developed by Daisy, despite their 240 Hz refresh rates. In the past, Thunderbolt 4 ports were limited to two 4K monitors to 60 Hz.
Even if you don’t have two expensive game monitors you are connecting, MSI Titan 18 HX has a very solid mini-screen on board. It can strike 414 brightness in DTS and approximately double that in HDR. It’s not as good as OLED game monitors, but it’s certainly brilliant enough to notice the difference in HDR. Color saturation is also great.
You want this 4K resolution when it is spread over 18 inches of screen, even if you may not always want to play games at this native resolution. It is incredibly sharp. This is really the best screen you can get on an 18 -inch laptop at the moment, because Oled is not yet current in this larger screen size. MSI also offers an IPS version of this panel, as well as an IPS 2560 x 1600 240 Hz option with low resolution.
Unfortunately, the speakers and the webcam are not as premium. The 1080p camera is noisy and the six-speakers’ audio system is poor. The speakers are almost out of regard given the strength of the noise of the fan, at least with regard to the game.

The keyboard is unique and an absolute joy to type and play. It’s a cherry mx low profile mechanical keyboard It sounds rude and tactile. It is different from any laptop that I have never caught in this direction, capturing the feeling of a mechanical keyboard directly on your laptop. My only complaint is that the many keys are not mechanical, such as the arrow keys, the digital block and the function line. Once you have noticed, it’s a bit shocking.
