A fresh start for Sri Lanka
Sri Lanka Women enter this tour with a point to prove. Despite showing early promise ahead of the Women’s T20 World Cup 2024, they struggled to convert potential into results during the tournament. Now, led by their star captain Chamari athapaththuthey aim to reset and challenge the formidable New Zealand line-up on their home turf.
The series is not just about redemption for Sri Lanka but also preparation for both teams ahead of the ICC Women’s ODI World Cup in India later this year. These matches will offer a glimpse into how both sides are shaping up for the global event.
The tour will kick off with the first ODI at McLean Park in Napier on March 4. The teams will then travel to Nelson and Christchurch before concluding with the final T20I in Dunedin. Below is the complete schedule with match timings:
