PlaySide announces War for Westeros, a Game of Thrones RTS

Playside Studios and Warner Bros have announced Game of Thrones: War for Westeros, a real -time strategy title based on the famous fantastic IP by George Rr Martin. As the title suggests, the game takes place in the world of Westeros, and the players take control of various factions, including the Stark, Lannister and Targaryen houses and the enemy faction The White Walkers. War for Westeros is launching a global scale on PC in 2026.

The players deploy their factions in free battles for all supplemented by diplomacy, alliances and deception. Each faction is delivered with its own strategic heroes and powers, probably including the familiar faces of the books and the adaptation of the watch – The Night King, Jon Snow, Jaime Lannister and Daenerys Targaryen’s Dragons appear in the film trailer. The game includes skirmish matches as well as a larger war that can be played alone or in cooperative.

Marketing, including the trailer, seems to rely on the well-known discontent of fans with the end of the show.
