Pride Month photos show celebrations in communities around the world

Wrapped in multicolored flags and waving signs of protest, revelers around the world have gathered throughout June For pride events – a one -month celebration of the LGBTQ community which also symbolizes a Current fight For equal rights and inclusion.

The month of proud roots Stonewall InnA gay bar has led to several nights of clashes with LGBTQ customers of the bar and others, who have become known as Stonewall Riots or Stonewall – a demonstration which is now considered the beginning of the LGBTQ rights movement. The steps took place in Manhattan, Chicago and San Francisco to mark the anniversary of Stonewall the following June and, over time, it has become an annual event in more and more cities. The month of pride was recognized for the first time federal in 1999 from the president of the time, Bill Clinton.

Pride Steps and festivals took place throughout the month in different parts of the United States and the world, and New York pride in 2025Honoring Stonewall’s inheritance, is scheduled for Sunday. Here is an overview of some of the events of Washington, DCin Kathmandu and beyond.
