Rangers could also sell “underrated” star alongside £20m Igamane

Rangers could also sell “underrated” star alongside £20m Igamane

As they set their sights on making profit this summer, Rangers could now reportedly sell both Hamza Igamane and one other player when the transfer window swings open.

Rangers planning fresh transfer policy

After what has been a disastrous season – one which ultimately cost Philippe Clement his job – Rangers are reportedly keen to turn their fortunes around by changing their current transfer policy.

Rangers highest manager win rates (timeless)

Having been forced to welcome those more inexperienced rather than ready for a title charge under Clement, the Gers have set their sights on shifting their focus towards making impressive profit on the transfer front, which will aim to build players up before selling them on. It’s a strategy which has seen Brighton & Hove Albion sustain themselves and progress and now one that Rangers could implement.

That strategy will have to come with plenty of sacrifice, however, which could yet see the likes of Igamane depart. At the centre of interest from both Everton and Tottenham HotspurRangers have reportedly slapped a £20m price tag on their talented forward in what would see them make £18m profit from their initial £2m deal last summer.

Even after such profit though, Igamane may not be the only one to leave Ibrox this summer. According to TeamTalk, Rangers could also sell Mohamed Diomande amid interest from both Italy and France.

He’s been out of a job since December…

The midfielder only arrived last summer, joining from Nordsjaelland, but has impressed enough to earn the attraction of those around Europe. And as Rangers look to use their new profit-aimed model, he could be among those sacrificed.

That said, it must be said that the Scottish giants would be giving their new manager – whoever that may be – the most frustrating start possible by cashing-in on two star players so early into their tenure at Ibrox.

Rangers should keep “underrated” Diomande

Whilst he hasn’t been as consistent as some would have liked, Diomande remains an important player at Ibrox and one that the Gers should do everything to keep hold of this summer. At just 23 years old, he’s on the verge of enterting what could be a fruitful peak for the Scottish Premiership giants as they look to bridge the gap on champions Celtic.

Mohamed-diomande

Dubbed “underrated” by analyst John WalkerDiomande could kick on and find that aforementioned consistency during his second season in Scotland, especially with the right manager.

If an offer comes in for Diomande this summer, then Rangers’ transfer policy indicates that he could be one to watch. But whilst they potentially cash in on Igamane, the Gers should keep hold of their midfield star, who could yet provide the foundation for success in a new era under a fresh management team.
