A viral post on the social media platform X recently claimed that Ashwin had stated Rohit is targeting a spot in the 2027 ODI World Cup, while Virat Kohli might retire soon to spend more time with his family. However, Ashwin swiftly took to his X account to debunk the rumors, humorously responding to the person who posted the viral claim. ,

While some users claimed they had heard the statement on Ashwin’s Tamil YouTube channel, the authenticity of these quotes remains unverified.
