Here is a use of artificial intelligence that could be practical. Ring Add text descriptions generated by AI-Alertes. If it works well, a glance will be everything you need to say if something requires your attention.
The founder of Ring, Jamie Siminoff, gave some examples of the new notifications. “A person climbs the steps with a black dog” could tell you that it is just the return of dog. Or “two people watch a white car in the aisle” could indicate that it is time to call the Fuzz.
Siminoff wrote in a press statement that the descriptions are “intentionally concise”. They only described the main subject which sparked the movement alert and what they do. The founder of the ring suggested that the characteristics of the AI were on the way when he returned to Amazon in April. “We are just running out the surface of what we can do with AI-and I can’t wait to dig even more with the team,” he said.
The functionality is only available for Ring Home Premium subscribers. It is the most expensive level of the company ($ 20 per month or $ 200 per year). Fortunately, you don’t have to buy new equipment to use the functionality. It is available on all bells and ring cameras currently available. Video descriptions are only available in English.
The functionality begins to deploy today. Once available, you will find the parameter to switch it to the Ring application.
