When “Tracker” made his debut at CBS in early 2024, many critics and viewers felt that the course of the procedure was fully formed. Focused on Colter Shaw (Justin Hartley), a “reward” who is around the United States to help regular people solve mysteries or solve disputes. Shaw follow -up gifts have been refined as rough in his time and drums survive, but he cannot provide his services without the help of others. During the first season of the program, Shaw’s small teammate in orbit had two nurses, Teddi Bruin (Robin Weigert) and Velma Bruin (Abby Mcenany), great hacker Bobby exley (Eric Graise) and lawyer Reenie Greene (Fiona Rene). It was a funny team, and they all felt they were locked for a long time-what the classifications were justified in the air in the exhibition.
“Tracker” ranked third in Nielsen’s ratings after the end of the first season, so CBS, maybe at the top “Ncis” -esque Cash CowI had to be dont-fix-what’s the non-Broke thinking way to another season, right? Apparently not! We have still learned exactly why Robin Weigert, a phenomenal talented performer who is likely to be known for his heartbreaking description Calamity Jane in “Deadwood” did not return to the 2 season of the “Tracker” season. Fortunately, the show knew we missed him, so the writers talked about his absence in a way that really felt like he was true to the character.
When the “Tracker” season started, the viewers were informed that Teddi and Velma had divorced. According to Velma, the controversy was a drama with Tedd’s mother. Although the details were vague, Teddi felt that Velma was just a complex complex situation and asked him to leave so he could focus on “sorting” his mother. Showrunner Elwood Reid explained the situation Ewby saying “[Velma] And Teddy is divorced. Velma struggles with what it means to reject in a certain way, and she works through that feeling. “
It sucks these decisions through the network budgeting Prism, but when CBS knew they had escaping grades “tracker”, it is very possible that they showed several seasons on the road and saw that they may have to make some difficult decisions about actors’ salaries. We know that long -term programs are dealing with these situations all the time, so it is thought that CBS had reached the predictable budgeting headache. And at the practical level they would have been in the right conclusion that Shaw didn’t need two caregivers and A lawyer (although weigert-Mcenany chemistry was undeniable).
So far, “Tracker” has left the door open to return to Tedd, but if this was a money problem, I think you can never forget to see Weigert again in the show. In any case, people seem to dig out the show despite his absence, so no matter how this went down, “Tracker” looks like chugging along a long distance network hiking. At least we don’t have to Worry about dipping Bobby. So far.
