Rockslide in Banff National Park in Canadian Rockies kills 1, injures 3


Calgary, Alberta – Falls hit people on a hiking trail in Banff National Park in Canadian Rockies, killing one and injuring three more Thursday.

The rescuers had rushed into the park in the afternoon after receiving information according to which a group of hikers was struck by the Roche knife. Police and Canadian Canadian Canadian Canadian Police later confirmed that one had died and three were injured near the glacier falls.

The site is north of Lake Louise on the Ice Champs Promenade, about 124 miles northwest of Calgary. It is also about 85 miles from the Summit site of the seven group in Kananaskis, Alberta, this week.

Stars Air Ambulance spokesperson Kate Langille said two of her units had been deployed around 2 p.m.

Parks Canada asked visitors to avoid the region.

The Bow Glacier Falls Randing Trail is a 6 -mile route along the edges of Bow Lake. It is considered a moderate path of difficulty for hikers and excursions, including families.

Alberta Prime Minister Danielle Smith said she was deeply saddened. “We think of all the people involved and wish their security while we expect more details,” she said in a Publication on the social media platform X.
