Journalization application Rose cap has raised $ 6 million in start-up financing while it seeks to further expand its application as AI mentor for self-reflection and personal growth.
Rosebud uses AI to analyze your newspaper entries, identify the models over time and provide information, questions and advice. Society affirms that its objective is to help users understand each other better, build new habits and follow the objectives, as a human mentor would do.
Since its launch, said Rosebud, users have journalized 500 million words and have spent more than 30 million minutes on its platform.
Rosebud was founded in 2023 by Chrys Bader, a former student and co-founder of Secret; And Sean Dadashi, a graduate of the UC Berkeley Cognitive Science. The couple met in a male group and had the idea of Rosebud according to their own experiences with therapy and coaching.
“Everyone is different, and everyone has different languages, not only spoken languages, but also a different emotional language, different ways of communication,” said Bader in an interview with Techcrunch, explaining that AI allows a level of personalized coaching and support that have not been available so far.
“So, a person may want validation and a gentle approach, when someone might want the very hard, like” hey, challenge me, call me on my BS approach, “he continued.” Some of the understanding of someone consists in using this understanding to best support each individual. This is what IA is unlocked; this has never been possible before, to get the point of personal that of the other, according to what he shared. “
Rosebud says that he is not trying to replace therapists and rather wants to open access to quality mentoring.
The company plans to use the new financing to extend its team of four with engineering and product talents and to invest more in marketing. The startup also plans to invest more in its owner memory technology and to develop the functionality of the application.
In addition, Rosebud wants to explore ways to make his newspaper more accessible, perhaps through partnerships with schools, businesses and clinics.
The seed tour was led by Bessemer Venture Partners, with the participation of 776, initialized capital, fuel capital, future, Tim Ferriss and other investors.
Rosebud states that all data from the newspaper is encrypted and that newspaper entries are never shared with third parties or used to form AI models.
In the meantime, Bader and Dadashi envisage Rosebud as mentor, teacher and partner who can develop long -term strategic engagement plans with users. For example, if someone is about to become a father, Rosebud could create personalized content around this step with journalization and other resources.
“And if everyone had something that was looking for what suits them best? Or something that helps them become their best me? I think it’s the exciting thing that AI allows,” said Dadashi. “I took a lot of opportunity to have mentorship throughout my life at various times, and I suffered at times when I did not have this mentoring. I think what we see is a future where it can be available for everyone in a way that it was simply not possible to be available before.
Rosebud’s basic journalization features are free, but the startup offers a monthly subscription of $ 12.99 which unlocks premium features, such as long -term memory and voice and call methods.
The AI journal is accessible via the weband on iOS And Android.
