Russian drone strike kills 5 as Moscow pledges response to Ukraine attacks | Russia-Ukraine war News

Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov said Russia responds to recent Ukrainian attacks when his soldiers consider it good.

A Russian drone strike killed five people in the city in the north of Pryluky in the Chernihiv region, including three family members, the Ukrainian authorities said.

Interior Minister Ihor Klymenko said Thursday morning that the wife of a first local answering machine, the one-year-old girl and grandson had been killed during the attack.

The regional governor Viacheslav Chaus said that the family was one of five people killed when Russia launched six drones to attack the city overnight.

Six others were admitted to the hospital, he said.

Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelenskyy criticized the attacks and accused Moscow of “constantly trying to buy time to continue killing.

“When he does not feel strong enough for conviction and pressure from the world-that kills again,” he wrote on X.

Zelenskyy said Russia had launched 103 drones and a ballistic missile overnight targeting the Donetsk, Kharkiv, Odesa, Sumy, Dnipro and Kherson regions.

“This is still another reason to impose maximum sanctions and put pressure together. We expect the action of the United States, Europe and all in the world which can really help to change these terrible circumstances,” he urged.

In the northeast town of Kharkiv, 18 people were injured, including four children in a Russian drone attack, Klymenko said.

Resident Anastasiia Meleshchenk told the Reuters news agency that night shot had advanced in her neighbor’s apartment, and she had managed to run out in the corridor with her child.

“Yesterday, workers had just finished repair work in my apartment after the previous attack,” she said.

There was no immediate comments from Russia.

In Russia, the Ukrainian army said that it had hit missile systems in the Bryansk region, which he said was preparing to attack Ukraine.

Russia in response

The attacks occur a few days after Ukraine has targeted four military aerodromes of Russia in Siberia and in the North in an operation using 117 unmanned air vehicles launched from containers near targets, called “Spider Web”.

Russia also accused him of exploding railway bridges in the south of the country, killing seven people.

Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov said on Thursday that Russia will respond to attacks as his soldiers would like.

Russian Foreign Deputy Minister Sergei Ryabkov said on Thursday that the war planes that had been detained in the facilities had been damaged and would be restored.

Two US officials told Reuters that Washington assesses that up to 20 war planes had been affected and about 10 had been destroyed.

In recent weeks, fighting and air attacks have increased despite the two teams at war that are held at direct talks in Turkiye aimed at ending the conflict.

Reporting Kyiv, John Hendren of Al Jazeera, said that “the American Embassy warned American citizens here in Ukraine that major strikes are to come.

“Donald Trump, the American president,” said in a conversation with [Russian President] Vladimir Putin who lasted about an hour and 15 minutes that Putin was going to have to retaliate For strikes on Russian aerodromes, “said Hendren.
