Sabrina Carpenter Channels French Movie Star Brigitte Bardot in Paris

Sabrina Carpenter loves nothing more than sartorial celebrity cosplay. In the last year alone, she’s channeled everyone from Madonna to Marilyn Monroe to Kate Moss and (many) more.

Now, she’s tapping into her inner Parisienne It Girl in a look that recalled the legendary French film star, Brigitte Bardotas seen in photos she shared via Instagram on Wednesday, March 19.

And what better destination to dress the part than the City of Light itself? Indeed, Carpenter, 25, posted a carousel full of chic styles and scenes that she captured in the French capital, bien sûr.

One look in particular stood out, which portrayed the singer posing on a marble staircase, seemingly, leading up to her hotel suite, while peeking over her shoulder. She wore a curve-skimming knit dress that put her enviable figure front and center for the camera, too.

Steven Meisel/Vogue UPDATE — 2/12/25 at 11:55 a.m.: Madonna caught wind of Sabrina Carpenter’s March 2025 Vogue cover and immediately gushed over the photography inspired by the one and only. “Is this a Valentine’s present to me? 👀🩵,” Madonna, 66, commented on Vogue’s official Instagram account, which featured Carpenter, 25, dressed in a custom baby (…)

She was also barefoot, exuding that certain je ne sais quoi insouciance that fabulous French women – like Bardot, now 90 – have long been famous for perfecting.

Carpenter nailed it, thanks in no small part to her blonde bombshell head of hair, which was teased and styled in loose curls for a sexy bedhead-style effect that Bardot made her signature.

Elsewhere in the Instagram carousel, Carpenter snapped a pic with her strands wrapped around velcro curlers while looking utterly glamorous with a liquid cat eye and pouty lips emphasized by nude liner.

She also performed in her trademark sequined corsets in a French nightclub, and she captioned the series of behind-the-scenes snaps in the post perfectly: “Je suis petite est sucre!”

Translation: “I’m short and sweet!”
