The government should conclude its file against Sean “Diddy” Combs Monday after more than six weeks of testimonies of a certain number of witnesses.
Jury selection For the trial on the rapper’s sexual crimes on May 5, and the accusation called on his last witness to the stand Friday after hearing the former assistant of Diddy, presumed “mule” Brendan Paul, testifying to his time employed by the founder of Bad Boy Records.
Diddy’s legal team, led by Marc Agnifilo and GeragosOriginally indicated that they would need more than two weeks to plead their case, but told Judge Arun Subramanian last week that they could rest on Tuesday or Wednesday.
Despite the end of the trial, the former federal prosecutor Mohammad Rahmani admitted that persistent questions remain in the case, including questions about the main key witnesses missing.

“What happened to Gina, who was a victim 3 in the indictment? The government said he was unable to seize her, and she did not testify,” said Rahmani. “Was she afraid, embarrassed, paid by combs, or was there another reason why she did not comply with the assignment? Anyway, it was an error in the accusation of listening it as a victim when they had no assurance that she was going to appear.
There was no allegation before the court that Diddy threatened or paid witnesses not to testify.
Rahmani also wondered why Diddy’s chief of staff, Kristina “KK” Khorram, was not called to testify. Brendan Paul said on Friday that KK “headed the business essentially”.
During the testimony of the witness Summary Anaya Sankar, the jury was shown SMS between The ex-Cassie Ventura de Diddy And KK dated May 2, 2017. Cassie told KK that the singer “last night” would have locked the door and dragged it with her hair.
“What happened to Gina, who was a victim 3 in the indictment? The government said that he was unable to seize her, and she did not testify.”
More text messages between Cassie and KK dated April 20, 2018 showed that Cassie said that she could not take violence and be expelled from her own house. KK replied: “I don’t know what to say else, but I’m here …” Cassie then wrote: “I just want to stay focused.”

The jury then received text messages between KK and the former more recent friend of Diddy, who testified under the pseudonym Jane. She allegedly alleged that Diddy had forced her to have sex with male escorts during the “nights of the hotel” and that the sex session was recorded.
A text message sent to KK de Jane has been shown to the jury, which said that Combs was threatening to release the so -called sexual cassettes. Jane wrote: “You are his right wife … maybe he will listen to you …” The message was sent on February 18, 2024.
“Many consider her to be Ghislaine de Combs Maxwell because she knows where proverbial bodies are buried,” Rahmani told Fox News Digital. “Khorram was in fact involved in the alleged trafficking in sex and drugs and could have been charged as a co-conspirator. The government should have looked at her to turn against her former boss. Instead, they gave her a pass by simply reading her SMS in evidence.”

Rahmani asked why the ex-girlfriends of Diddy, including Cassie, Mia and Jane, were not gone if they had been assaulted and sexually treated.
“The government has put the expert Dawn Hughes to explain the psychology of abuses, but it is the biggest question in the case,” admitted Rahmani. “Did the victims stayed because they wanted the money and the fame that had come with the partner of Combs? If so, did they consent to the” Freak OFS “while they were going?”

“This rape, or regret and resentment, I am not sure that prosecutors fully answered this question and it is the same argument that the defense raised with some success in the Harvey Weinstein Retal. “”

What the jury decides is the biggest question in the case. Lawyer Nicole Blank BeckerWho represents R. Kelly, told Fox News Digital that jurors, like any other, find it difficult to separate the emotions from the accusations.
“When you hear about the horrible actions of P. Diddy, not only here, but you then see the actions on a video, and at one point, the jury will be said” OK “, maybe it was domestic violence, but that’s not really what it is. This is something bigger,” said Becker. “The idea that jurors will be able to separate this in their mind is very unlikely, even if they will be theirs say. And there are a lot of demonstrative evidence in this case, is my understanding.

“My experience when I was in the case with R. Kelly, these types of things are often used not only to show what the government tries to bring, to show in their case, but it definitively brings an emotional side to a human, and sometimes this emotional part – it is very difficult to neglect when you are there as a juror.”
“The idea that jurors will be able to separate this in their mind is very unlikely, even if they will be informed.”
She added: “I can only imagine the difficulty that there must be when you were back in a jury room to separate if you think that he is a good person or a bad person, because that’s not why that’s it, right? If the government did there to check well.

Becker noted that testimonies and evidence can be misinterpreted and that the jury must separate the emotions from the facts.

“Some of this, I think it is chopped,” said Becker. “It becomes … extremely difficult to say to you:” Ok me, I am not supposed to be emotionally involved in this. I am supposed to listen to the law, then put the facts where the law is appropriate. “”
“I know in [R. Kelly’s] Case, I can only imagine how difficult it should be. And I think it will also be another difficult part of the Diddy affair. “”
