Sherri Shepherd Slams Female Celebs For Skimpy Oscars Fashion

Roommates, the internet is weighing in on Sherri Shepherd sharing her intrusive “auntie” thoughts about red carpet fashion. As previously reported, the award show happened on March 2 and the celebs were OUTSIDE in their Sunday’s best and even less! And that’s exactly what Sherri called out on her self-titled talk show. Auntie Shepherd name-dropped Julia Fox, Zoë Kravitzand Megan Thee Stallion while critiquing nudity at the Vanity Fair Oscars after-party.

Sherri Shepherd Describes The Trio’s Fashion Choices

Two days after the Oscars, Sherri shared her take on the barely-there looks. Speaking to her audience, she claimed that the “unwritten theme” of Vanity Fair’s after-party was “just a lot of nudity.” Then, she went on to describe the skimpy dresses worn by Julia, Zoë, and Megan.

“Julia Fox wore a completely sheer dress that barely covered her cookie jar,” Sherri said of Ye’s former girlfriend.

She continued, “Zoë Kravitz graced us with her butt crack, you could see everything.” For context, she pulled up the after-party in a YSL, black, floor-length dress featuring sleeves. Most of her back and buttocks were covered by a bejeweled, sheer material that still gave peekaboo energy.

As for Megan Thee Stallion, Sherri Shepherd said the rapper “wore a dark green gown, with only matching green pasties to cover up her breasts.” Thee Hottie Coach wore a House of JMC, a curve-hugging gown from below her breasts to the floor. In addition to the green, circle pasties, there were feathers from the gown slightly covering her cleavage. Megan acknowledged the nudity herself on the Vanity Oscars red carpet telling the press, “My boobs are out.”

Host Goes IN On Megan & Reminds Celebs About Their Role Model Status

After describing Julia, Zoë, and Megan Thee Stallion’s looks, Sherri admitted that she’s being an auntie in this case.

“This is where I have to put my Auntie Sherri wig on and I say this with all of the love that I have. Ladies, this is not it. And I say this because there are young women, young girls who are looking up to all of you,” Shepherd said.

The host also implied that today’s women are not leaving anything to the imagination or any room for mystery. “When they look at these girls, they don’t have any secrets. Nobody gets to use imagination or their mind,” she added. Then, Shepherd started speaking directly to Megan Thee Stallion, saying that she “loves” her but was “upset” by her fashion choice.

“…God gave you a legitimate gift. You are amazing with your lyrical rhymes and how smart you are, and I know a lot of these celebrities say they don’t want to be a role model. But here’s the thing: it comes with the territory; you can’t escape it. Because Megan, when you said you graduated from college. Do you know how many young girls you inspired to go to school also? You didn’t ask for that. But they were watching you.”

Sherri Shepherd also shut down the comparison to Lil Kim’s 1999 MTV Video Music Awards purple pasty look. At the time, she also thought the look was unnecessary. The host clarified that her goal isn’t “to shame anybody” but that she’s unsure what the goal is. Then, she circled back to Ye’s wife, Snow White censorwhom she previously criticized for her fully nude look on the Grammys red carpet last month.

“We have to think about our future. And all y’all who are sitting out here, these young girls that are emulating you. They don’t have security around them. So they’re emulating you, and they go to these parties, and something tragic could happen. These are our future, these young women and these young men.”

She encouraged female celebrities to “think about it” when they’re choosing how to show out. Watch her full commentary below.
