Snapchat launches an Apple Watch app globally

Snapchat announced Thursday that it launched a Watchos application to allow Apple Watch users to access the social network on their wrists. With this new application, users can now use Snapchat on mobile, web, tablets and Apple Watch.

Users can now preview an incoming message and also respond using the keyboard, scribble, dictation or an emoji. The company claims that the new application will allow users to do things like quickly knowing their friend that they are “here” when they meet in a restaurant or watch and send a quick response during a race.

Although you can already preview Snapchat messages on your Apple Watch by allowing them on your iPhone, there was no way to answer them so far.

“The number of devices we use in our daily life has increased,” Snap wrote in a blog article. “We already see our community appreciate using Snapchat on surfaces, including the tablet and the web, in addition to the mobile, and this is based on our commitment to make snapchat available on all the devices you use, including portable devices.”

Thursday’s announcement marks a change in reflection for Snapchat, like the CEO of Snap Evan Spiegel said years ago that He was not too lively On the small screen of the Apple Watch, noting that people would probably prefer to look at a photo on their phone, rather than shows them.

Snapchat is now focusing on using its Watchos application to allow users to quickly respond to messages, not to display images or videos.

With this launch, Snapchat has exceeded Rivales messaging applications like Facebook Messenger and Whatsapp by publishing a dedicated Watchos application.
