Spain strikes deal with NATO to be exempt from 5 percent defence spending target

Spain has concluded an agreement with the NATO military alliance which would allow the country to avoid spending 5% of its GDP for defense expenses, Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez said on Sunday. President Donald Trump put pressure on NATO members to accelerate their defense expenses.
