Invite it to be pressures and privileges take one of the most famous roles in all science fiction. “Star Trek: Strange New Worlds” was a lot live after release in 2022, but the most important among them was Lives in the shadow of the “original series” (almost literally). The Prequel show is placed on the same Starship Enterprise company, with many of the same characters and covers the set of the setback in the “Star Trek” era that is long gone. So when actor Ethan Peck was originally chosen as a world -famous scientist who was tasked with stepping on the same shoes and a well -tailor -made uniform as in the original description of Leonard Nimoy, it would have been very easy to crumble under the weight of such expectations … or at least always “always”. Instead, “Strange New Worlds” gave Peck freedom and latitude to imagine the character in his own way.
/The movie only took part in the world premiere only “Strange New Worlds” season 3 New York’s Tribeca Film Festival, where we wanted to get to the bottom of this topic. To date, Pecki has been asked endless questions about measuring Nimoy’s performance and how he navigates the challenges of breathing in life, which is already so well defined in pop culture. Instead, we decided to ask him what he and the writing group, in particular, brought to Spock “Strange New Worlds” – basically what makes this version as different as we all know and love. Thoughtful as ever, Peck replied:
“I would say they have really brought a comic quality to a spock that I play at the” Strange New Worlds “event. I think they found that I have the ability to be unpleasant in situations. And I think [in these situations]. So maybe his comic character … and that he’s not [self-aware] thence. “

The “original series” and the Trekit of the following movies know that Leonard Nimoy’s Spock could also be a source of incredible comedy moments – just literally any interaction with DeFest Kelley bones – but in the end, very differently than in “strange new worlds”. Ethan Pick’s description emphasizes his struggle to become half man as much as his half-Vulcan legacy. Whether this vulnerability to humor or stains, well, it’s all part of this new series fun.
During the special Q&A session, after 3 premiere screening of the season, Akiva Goldsman and Henry Alonso Myers joined, most of the actors in more detail about future episodes. On many topics they covered (containing Star Anson Mount grilled about whether he knows “Trek” “Zaddy”), Spock’s arch and his journey to become a much more logic -based character from Nimoy’s version are great. As Goldsman explained:
“I believe that those of us who started with ‘tos’ [‘Strange New Worlds’]If you think of spock as she passes through the movies as she passes [‘The Next Generation’]We begin to see that his entire life has been a struggle with identity. And how he sees the adorable fraud of himself and emotions. And so Ethan can do much more of it. So we fill the Spock personality and his life. “
It is only said that many of the episodes of this coming season placed advancement at the forefront with Pick’s spock … and the results are incredible.
