Steam adds more accessibility features

The steam has A new batch of features to improve accessibility in the latest beta version of the game client. The platform adds a sliding scale to adjust the size of the user interface, a high contrast mode to make text and more distinct background buttons, and movement adjustment to deactivate animations and page transitions. These three features are available for Steamos performing devices and in Steam’s overall mode, which displays a full screen user interface for easier readability.

In addition, Steamos devices get a screen reader. This function has adjustments for the volume, rate and height of the audio output. The new beta version also offers color filters for Steamos devices, allowing the user to choose gray levels, reverse light or inverted colors. This modification of the visual output with colors applies both to the Steam client and the games.
