Steven Spielberg’s Daughter’s Reaction To Tracy Morgan Vomiting Incident
Steven Spielberg’s daughter, Destry Allyn Spielberghad a front-row seat to an unforgettable courtside moment alongside Tracy Morganbut not for the reasons she expected.
Attending her first-ever NBA game at Madison Square Garden, Destry found herself seated just one seat away from Tracy Morgan as the “Saturday Night Live” alum vomited all over the court during Monday night’s New York Knicks game.

Rather than shy away from the awkward encounter, Destry took to Instagram on Tuesday to make light of the situation, sharing a hilarious reaction photo that quickly became meme-worthy. In the image, she is seen looking absolutely disgusted, perfectly capturing the chaotic moment.
“Had a great time,” she joked. She followed up with another Instagram story featuring a snapshot of Morgan mid-vomit, humorously overlaying it with a shrugging emoji. “Hey, s* happens!”** she quipped.
While it may not have been the courtside experience she imagined, Destry ended her post on a sincere note, writing that she “genuinely” hopes Morgan is feeling better and even thanking him for making the game “one to remember.”

She followed up with another Instagram story, where she expressed how “genuinely glad” she is that Morgan is okay.
“Honestly, thank you for making my first courtside game one to remember,” she added. “I will definitely never forget this one.”
However, some people found the post to be offensive. “Your Instagram Story about Tracy Morgan is tasteless,” one user commented on her most recent post. “Do better.”
She has since deleted her Instagram Stories.

The game was temporarily paused with 6:09 left in the third quarter after Morgan suddenly fell ill and vomited courtside. As images and videos of the incident quickly spread across social media, fans were divided, some expressing concern for the comedian, while others mocked the situation.
However, many people pushed back against the jokes, calling for more compassion given Morgan’s history of serious health challenges.
“Tracy Morgan has been battling health problems for over a decade. We’re not going to laugh at him for getting ill at the Knicks game. Do better,” someone wrote.

“We are in an age where viruses and illness have destroyed lives, yet people are going to mock Tracy Morgan for vomiting. I feel like the entire country is stuck in a second-grade mentality,” another said. “Get well soon, Tracy.”

Fortunately, Morgan is doing just fine. The comedian later revealed that doctors diagnosed him with food poisoning after he was briefly hospitalized following the incident.
“Thank you for all your concern! I’m doing ok now and doctors say it was food poisoning,” he wrote in an Instagram caption alongside a photo of himself in the hospital bed. “Appreciate my MSG family for taking such good care of me and I need to shout out the crew that had to clean that up. Appreciate you!”
As for his future at Knicks games? Morgan isn’t letting this stop him from sitting courtside again.
In fact, he joked that his on-court vomiting might actually be a good luck charm for the team. “More importantly, the Knicks are now 1-0 when I throw up on the court, so maybe I’ll have to break it out again in the playoffs,” he hilariously added.
Morgan has navigated various health challenges over the years, including diabetes. To aid in weight loss, he began taking the type 2 diabetes drug Ozempicwhich he previously shared had significantly reduced his appetite, stating it had been “cut in half.”

In 2010, the actor underwent a kidney transplant, and just a few years later, in 2014, he survived a devastating multi-vehicle crash on the New Jersey Turnpike. The accident left him with several broken ribs, severe leg injuries, and a traumatic brain injury.
The crash was caused by a Walmart 18-wheeler, which, after the driver had reportedly been awake for 24 hours, slammed into the limousine van carrying Morgan and three other comedians as they returned from a performance. The six-car pileup tragically claimed the life of Morgan’s close friend and fellow comedian James “Jimmy Mack” McNair.
Morgan remained in a coma for two weeks and faced a long, grueling recovery, enduring months of rehabilitation to regain his mobility and cognitive functions.
