Syria returns offer 'ray of hope' as wars displace 122 million people worldwide

The number of people displaced by war and persecution in the world has remained “extremely high” to more than 122 million this year due to long -standing conflicts such as those of Sudan and Ukraine, the United Nations refugee agency said Thursday, although the return of nearly two million Syrians moved by the country’s civil war on Thursday.
