I was on the fence Astral chain From the day, the first trailer went out for a few hours in my game. Everything seemed a little too generic, almost an interpretation of painting by number of an action game. I do not need to be so worried, because it is one of the most original titles to come from Platinumgames, the developer behind the Bayonetta series in recent years.
In the future where the world is constantly attacked by creatures that exist on another plane of existence, you play as an officer in a special force that deals with this threat. The game gadget is that you can tame these creatures to become legions you use in combat. The meetings play with you control both your character and the legion to deal with waves of crowds and more important and more difficult enemies. In addition to fighting, you will use your legions to resolve crimes and crossing environments.
Astral chain Close closely to a loop of detective work, puzzles and platform combat – a little too closely, if I am critical – with the game divided in case which serve as chapters. The story begins fairly well but quickly turns into a mixture of various trops of anime, including twists and arches torn directly from certain very famous programs and films. However, the gameplay from one minute at a minute is enough to allow you to engage in the main 20 -hour campaign and in the fairly significant end of game content.
Do Astral chain reach the heights of Deny: automatic? No, not at all, but its fights and its environments can often exceed this game, which is probably my favorite of this generation. Often available for less than $ 50 these days, it’s worth your time.
