Captain of the sky and the world of tomorrow (2004)
We kicked this overlooking sci-fi in the film market almost entirely with giant robots, Captain of heaven and the world of tomorrow.
It begins with the giant robots that attack in New York in 1939, and the story follows Sky Captain, who is played by Jude Law, as he conducts an ace-hot shots as he explores the disappearance of a lost scientist in the retro-thorough world.
It is heavily stylized, too strongly stylized to the audience of the time, but it is also part of its charm. It runs a little too high up to the use of CGI and soft focus lenses, but Captain of heaven and the world of tomorrow is a funny, family-friendly action sci-fi movie that fits comfortably for Sunday afternoon’s double feature with those like a classic past Disney efforts such as Swiss family Robinson.
