Travis Kelce Began Dating Taylor Swift ‘Months’ Before Her First Chiefs Game

A famous neighbor of Travis Kelce claims that the footballer had been in a relationship with Taylor Swift before attending her first Kansas City Chiefs game.

Shortly after attending the game, Kelce and Swift went public with their relationship, although it remains unclear when they first connected.

Since then, Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s relationship has continued to blossom, with recent speculations that they might soon take their romance to the next level with an engagement.

Despite Swift and Kelce now having dated for nearly two years, fans of the duo’s romance are still unable to put a finger on when the duo began their romance.

A famous neighbor of the footballer Wes Bergmann has now shed light on the timeline, saying it happened “months” before Swift attended her first Chiefs game.

However, when he tried to share the info with host Michele Fitzgerald, she shunned the idea, as she assumed Swift typically goes for a “scrawnier,” “brooding artist” rather than a “chivalrous, all-American football player.”

“I was like the first person to know about any of this stuff. I tried to tell (Fitzgerald) a long time ago. I was like, ‘They’re together, just so you know’… but she didn’t believe me,” Bergmann revealed during a recent episode of the Social Game Podcast.

“She didn’t believe it. She was like, ‘She only goes for artists,'” he added. “I beat the validating of her showing up to games and stuff by like six months.”

However, Bergmann has seemingly clarified his comments about Kelce and Swift’s relationship timeline, claiming that it was “taken out of context.”

He wrote on X, “(Kelce) moved in November, that’s all I know. I told Michele, who is a giant fan, hey this is serious. She didn’t believe me for six months. That was the intention of the comment. Again it was taken out of context but I shouldn’t be talking about it anyway. So consider this the last time I do.”

Kelce reportedly moved into Bergmann’s Leawood, Kan., neighborhood in November 2023.

At the time, he was already linked to Swift, who first popped up in a box at Arrowhead Stadium in Missouri on September 24, 2023.

The home also cost $6 million, six times the amount the NFL star paid for his other home in Kansas City’s high-profile Briarcliff West neighborhood.

Being Kelce’s neighbor, it won’t be surprising that Bermann had on some occasions run into the NFL star, although he has yet to reveal if this happened.

However, he was once mistaken for the tight end by paparazzi while “exiting the gated community in (his) brand new beautiful truck.”

“The paparazzi snapped me, and they thought I was Travis Kelce,” Bergmann revealed during an episode of Rob Has a Podcastwhich was released in early February.

“So I am apparently his doppelgänger,” the “Blox” star added after claiming that the pictures were “published” online.

In the wake of Kelce’s Kansas City Chiefs losing this year’s Super Bowl to the Philadelphia Eagles, the NFL star and Swift have been spending time together.

A source previously revealed that this was the plan all along and that the lovebirds wanted to get away from all the “distractions,” given the heavy spotlight on their relationship all through much of last year.

According to Page Sixan insider shared about the duo, “They knew that Taylor’s Eras Tour would be wrapping in December and football season would be coming to an end now so they had planned for this time to focus on some alone time to just be together.”

Reports later revealed that Kelce and Swift went on a private, romantic getaway, although it remains unclear what location they visited.

Upon their return home, they “stepped out” for a night out together” and were lucky to go “unnoticed” by the paparazzi.

Recently, it was revealed that the couple’s romance has led to increased profits for the NFL.

From September 23, 2023, to January 28, 2024, it generated an impressive $366,753,290 in total equivalent brand value for the NFL, per MarketWatch.

The timeline was noted to be the date of that year’s AFC Championship game, which Swift was often seen attending Kelce’s games.

Additionally, their romance added an estimated $634,304,163 in equivalent brand value from the day after the 2024 AFC Championship through January 27, 2025.

The NFL has reaped nearly $1 billion in brand value, reportedly driven by increased merchandise sales and ticket purchases.

Insiders recently told Us Weekly that Swift is deeply invested in her relationship with Kelce as they work on their future as a couple.

The sources shared that Swift and Kelce are considering taking the next step by purchasing property together.

“When they have time, they want to look at real estate. (They’ve) talked about exploring buying a home together,” they said.

However, Swift is reportedly contemplating adding a home to her current real estate portfolio in Kansas City, Missouri. This move would bring her closer to Kelce, who is based there.
