President Donald Trump says that he has not planned to extend a 90-day break on prices on most nations beyond July 9, when the negotiation period he set will expire, and his administration will inform countries that commercial sanctions will take effect unless there are agreements with the United States.
The letters will start to come out “very soon” before the deadline for approach, he said.
“We will examine how a country treats us – are they good, are they not so good – some countries that we do not care, we will simply send a high number,” Trump told Fox News Channel “Sunday Morning Futures” during an interview with large interview on Friday and broadcast on Sunday.
These letters, he said, would say: “Congratulations, we allow you to shop in the United States of America, you will pay a price of 25%, or a 35% or 50% or 10%.”
Trump had played the deadline on Friday at a press conference at the White House by noting how difficult it would be to conclude separate agreements with each nation. The administration had set the objective of reaching 90 trade agreements in 90 days.
Negotiations are continuing, but “there are 200 countries, you can’t talk to everyone,” he said in the interview.
Trump also discussed a potential tiktok agreement, relations with China, strikes on Iran and his repression of immigration.

Few details on the possible tiktok offer
A group of wealthy investors will make a Tiktok purchase offer, said Trump, referring to an agreement that could protect the future of the popular social media platform, which belongs to Bytedance in China.
“We have a buyer for Tiktok, by the way. I think I will probably need China approval, and I think President Xi (Jinping) probably will,” said Trump.
Trump did not offer any details on investors, calling them “a group of very rich people”.
“I’m going to tell you in about two weeks,” he said when he was asked for details.
It is a calendar that Trump often quotes, more recently on a decision on the question of whether the American army would be involved directly in the war between Israel and Iran. The United States struck Iranian nuclear sites a few days later.

Earlier this month, Trump signed a decree for Tiktok to work in the United States for 90 more days to give his administration more time to negotiate an agreement to conclude the social media platform under American property.
This is the third time that Trump has expanded the deadline. The first passed a decree of January 20, its first day of power, after the platform was briefly dark when a national ban – approved by the Congress and confirmed by the Supreme Court – entered into force.
Trump insists on “erased” Iran nuclear installations
The United States strikes Iran “erased” from its nuclear facilities, insisted Trump, and said that anyone who had disclosed a preliminary intelligence assessment suggesting that the Tehran nuclear program had only been set back.
Trump said Iran was “a few weeks” to reach a nuclear weapon before ordering the strikes.
“He was erased as if no one had ever seen before,” said Trump. “And that meant the end of their nuclear ambitions, at least for a while.”
The supreme leader of Iran, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, said on Sunday on X that Trump “exaggerated to cover and hide the truth”. Iran’s ambassador to the United Nations, Amir Saeid Iravani, told the “Face The Nation” of CBS that the nuclear program of his country was peaceful and that uranium “enrichment is our law and an inalienable law and we want to implement this right” under the treaty on the non-proliferation of nuclear weapons. “I think the enrichment will never stop.”
Rafael Grossi, the head of the International Atomic Energy Agency, said on CBS that “it is clear that there have been serious damage, but these are not total damage”.
Grossi also said that the United Nations nuclear custody had put pressure on pressure to report that Iran had a nuclear weapon or was close to one, but “we didn’t do it because it was not what we saw”.
Among the flight assessment, Trump said that anyone tried responsible should be prosecuted. Journalists who received it should be asked who was their source, he said, “You have to do it and I suspect that we will do things like that.”
His press secretary said Thursday that the administration was investigating the issue.
A “temporary pass” for immigration raids in farms and hotels?
While playing his repression of immigration, Trump offered a more nuanced view regarding farm and hotel workers.
“I am the strongest immigration guy there has never been, but I am also the strongest farmer’s guy there has ever been,” said the Republican president.
He noted that he wanted to expel criminals, but it is a problem when farmers lose their workers and destroy their businesses.
Trump said that his administration was working on “a kind of temporary pass” which could give farmers and hotel owners control immigration raids in their facilities.
Earlier this month, Trump called for a break on immigration raids disturbing agricultural, hotel and restaurants industries, but a senior internal security official followed an apparently contradictory declaration. Tricia McLaughlin said that there would be “no safe spaces for industries that are home to violent criminals or deliberately try to undermine” immigration implementation efforts.
Status of Chinese trade discussions
Trump welcomed a recent trade agreement with Beijing on rare land exports from China and said that the establishment of a more equitable relationship will require significant rates.
“I think he can get along well with China is a very good thing,” said Trump. “China will pay a lot of prices, but we have a big (commercial) deficit, they understand it.”
Trump said that it would be open to the elimination of sanctions against Iranian oil expeditions to China if Iran could show “they can be peaceful and if they can show us, they will no longer hurt”.
But the president also said that the United States was not afraid to retaliate against Beijing. When the host of Fox News Channel, Maria Bartiromo, noted that China had tried to hack American systems and to steal intellectual property, Trump replied: “You do not think that we are doing this?”
