I tested the Larq water bottles and without self -cleaning every day for several weeks, assessing their different features alongside the price, sizes and colors available, the life of the battery, the return policy, the warranty and all the characteristics of the available application. I also carried out an informal taste test, which I will describe below.
Taste of taste of the self -cleaning water bottle
To be clear, UV purification is not supposed to change the taste of water. However, I was curious to know if the straw filtered by Larq added would make a difference or if knowledge of UV purification was there would have a placebo effect.
For this informal taste test, I filled the bottles of water without and Larq with tap water, as well as a glass with tap water and another with filtered water by my Brita Water Pitch counter. Then, I activated the normal modes of water bottles: a 3-minute UC-V purification cycle for San and a 1 minute cycle for Larq. I kept the filtered straw in the Larq bottle for this part of the test, because the bottle accompanies it.

After having tasted the tap water of the four containers, my partner and I found that the Brita produced the most taste and sweetest experience, followed by the Larq then without. Although without reduced part of the chemical taste of tap water, the Larq did a better job with its filtered straw included.
Then I filled the bottles with filtered British water. I also kept the tap water glasses and water filtered by the Brita. Larq’s straw remained attached. At this stage, my partner and I noticed an improvement in the taste of water without, which had a taste similar to Brita water. As for Larq water, there was a subtle improvement in flavor and sweetness, probably because the water was now double filtered.
Finally, we tried Larq’s adventure mode. When used with filtered water, it can have a slightly better taste, but the difference is barely noticeable, probably because the filtered straw continues to affect the taste and texture of the water. As for tap water, the adventure mode combined with the filtered straw provided a notable difference, with a less chemical taste.
In conclusion, due to its filtered straw, the Larq seemed to have a more positive effect on the taste and texture of the water filtered by the tap and the British. The bottle of water without self -cleaning reduced a part of the chemical taste of tap water, but it had the best when used with water filtered by Brita.
It was a very informal and non -scientific taste test that strongly depends on your water source and your taste buds. I was just curious to see if my partner and I would notice differences between the bottles, the tap water and the water filtered by my Brita launcher. Nor are we sommeliers of water, so do not hesitate to take our observations with a grain of salt.
