Images have emerged online showing the consequences of Israeli strikes through Tehran and the neighboring city of Karaj, west of the Iranian capital.
The Israeli army said that it was aimed at the headquarters of the internal security forces and the Islamic Revolutionary Guard (IRGC) in the Tehran region.
The Iranian Ministry of Health says that around 500 people have been killed by Israeli strikes on Iran since the attack on Israel on June 13 against the country, although a human rights group has taken stock of 950.
Since then, the two nations have exchanged fires of daily missiles, with the Israeli authorities saying that Iranian strikes had killed 24 people in Israel.
