Walmart and Wing expand drone delivery to five more US cities


Wing, the Drone Delivery Company on demand belonging to Alphabet, broadcasts its commercial wings with the help of Walmart.

The two companies announced Thursday the project to deploy drones delivery in more than 100 Walmart stores in five new cities: Atlanta, Charlotte, Houston, Orlando and Tampa. Walmart also adds wing drone deliveries to its existing market in the Dallas-Fort Worth area.

Woodworth wouldn’t say if Wing was still profitable or when it would be the case. But he said that the company focuses on how to develop its deliveries while keeping its expenses in check.
