The streaming giant, which has over 300 million subscribers worldwide, changed the game in 2024 by hosting the NFL’s Christmas Day Games. Another surprise that viewers couldn’t get enough of was the star-studded halftime performance by Beyoncéwhich featured talented guests, including Shaboozey and Post Malone.

During an interview with VarietyNetflix’s CEO, Ted Sarandos, joked that he and his colleagues would try to get Swift on the books for this year’s Christmas Day halftime show.
Later, Sarandos switched the topic to the possibility of Netflix ever hosting the Super Bowl, which he admitted would be a “tough” decision for the NFL, which receives “so much money from the networks.”
The demand, however, doesn’t scare the businessman, who pointed out that Netflix hosted the Jake Paul versus Mike Tyson fight. “… we were supporting a Super Bowl-sized audience. We can certainly support it technically,” he insisted.

A Swift performance would also earn the NFL and whichever streaming service secured the rights to the game a large amount of money.
Over Thanksgiving weekend in 2024, the singer, who’s already a certified billionaire thanks to her chart-topping singles and albums, reportedly made over $30 million by selling something special from her latest concert, the “Taylor Swift | The Eras Tour Book.”
According to Circana Bookscan, one of the most trusted trackers of weekly book sales, Swift sold just over 814,000 copies of the book in its first two days. The only book to beat those numbers is former President of the United States Barack Obama‘s memoir, “A Promised Land.”

Swift’s text was on sale for $39.99, and taking that and multiplying it by 814,000, the singer earned just over $32,500,000. Of course, she won’t see all of those zeros. However, she surely earned a pretty penny.

In the introduction of Swift’s “Eras Tour” book, the “Cruel Summer” singer gave a special shout-out to the crew who worked on her massive tour, including the band, dancers, and backup singers.
She boasted about her “incredible” team, “who all matched my dedication to the massive scale and challenges of this show.” The Grammy winner also made sure to thank her fans for giving her something to perform for.
“We do it because life comes in waves, in phases, in brilliant flurries of magical moments, and all of these things come together to create… Eras,” she said. “Here is the official retrospective of the most wondrous tour of my life, my beloved Eras Tour.”
