The world leaders and senior officials called Israel and Iran to return from the edge of the total war while the bitter enemies exchanged intense attacks on a second day.
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said on Saturday that Israel’s strikes on Iranian infrastructure had raised his nuclear program, without providing evidence, but rejected world calls for restraint.
“We are going to hit each site and each target of the Ayatollahs regime, and what they have felt so far is nothing compared to what they will be given in the coming days,” he said in a video message.
During surprise attack Friday, the Israeli army targeted more than 200 military and nuclear sites, killing the best commanders of the Iranian army, scientists and other senior officials.
Iran Strong Retariation penetrated the rented anti -missile defense of Israel on Friday evening and night after Saturday, with air raid sirens by sounding through Israel. At least four people were killed, the Israeli army saying that Iran had pulled around 200 ballistic missiles in four waves.
Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian warned a “more serious and powerful response” if Israel continued to strike on Saturday.
In the light of climbing, the world leaders spoke to the senior Iranian and Israeli officials, fearing a possible regional war.
Here is what some countries have said:
The President of the United States, Donald Trump, said he spoke to his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin conflicts in the Middle East and Ukraine. “He believes, like me, this war in Israel-Iran should end, what I explained, his war should also end,” Trump wrote in an article on social networks.
Earlier, the best assistant in Kremlin, Yuri Ushakov, told journalists that Putin spoke to Trump and condemned Israel’s attacks on Iran. Putin “has seriously expressed a concern concerning a possible climbing of the conflict, which would have unpredictable consequences for the whole situation in the Middle East,” said Ushakov,
According to Ushakov, Trump described current events in the Middle East as “very alarming”.
The two leaders have not excluded a return to negotiation meetings on the Iranian nuclear program, said Ushakov.
President Recep Tayyip Erdogan told Iranian President that Israel was trying to “drag the whole region in fire”, according to a statement from the Turkish presidency. Erdogan also told Pezeshkian that Israel’s attacks aimed to divert the attention of the genocide in Gaza.
Erdogan told the crown prince of Saudi Arabia, Mohammed Bin Salman, whom Israel needed to “be arrested”, calling him “the main threat to the region’s stability and security”. The question of the Iranian nuclear program “can only be resolved by negotiations,” he added. The Turkish chief also spoke with King Jordan Abdullah II and Egyptian President Abdel Fattah Al-Sissi.
Likewise, Erdogan told Trump during a telephone call that he considered nuclear negotiations as the only way to resolve the conflict.
Erdogan told Trump that Turkiye supports Washington’s point of view that nuclear negotiations should continue to solve the fighting and that Ankara is ready to help prevent an uncontrolled escalation, a statement from his office said.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Wang Yi, spoke to his Iranian and Israeli counterparts and clearly provided Beijing to Tehran.
Wang told Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi that Beijing “supports Iran in the safeguarding of its national sovereignty, the defense of its legitimate rights and interests of the security of its people,” said a statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Wang told Araghchi that Israel’s actions “raped seriously … Basic standards governing international relations”, adding attacks on nuclear installations “have established a dangerous precedent of potentially catastrophic consequences”.
During his conversation with the Israeli Minister for Foreign Affairs, Gideon Saar, Wang expressed that his attack on Iran was “unacceptable”.
“Diplomatic means for the Iranian nuclear problem have not been exhausted and there is still hope for a peaceful solution. Force cannot bring lasting peace, “said Wang, adding that Beijing was willing to play a role in deficiency of conflict.
Emir Sheikh Tamim Bin Hamad Al Thani also spoke with Pezeshkian and reiterated the strong condemnation and denunciation of Qatar from Qatar to the Israeli attack targeting Iran’s territory, considering that it is a “blatant violation of sovereignty and security of Iran, and a clear violation of the rules and principles of international law”.
The Qatari chief also called a diplomatic solution to achieve lasting and complete peace in the region.
Pezeshkian had a telephone call with the crown prince of Saudi Arabia Mohammed Bin Salman, reports Irna. The Saudi news agency confirmed the call.
“Since I have been as president, I tried to strengthen peace, stability and security in the region, but the Zionist regime has disrupted and sabotaged all areas where we wanted to do something,” said Pezeshkian.
The Saudi Crown Prince said: “The kingdom condemns the ongoing attacks which undermine the sovereignty and security of Iran.”
The links between Riyadh and Tehran have improved considerably since the two countries agreed to restore diplomatic relations in 2023 after years of animosity.
British Prime Minister Keir Starmer said on Saturday that the United Kingdom moved military assets, including fighter planes in the Middle East for support for the region throughout the region.
Foreign Minister David Lammy said he was “alarmed” by the day after day “with death and injury reports in Israel”. “We have to defuse and prevent any other damage from civilians,” said Lammy on X, adding that he had spoken to his Iranian counterpart “to exhale calm”.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Johann Wadephul, spoke with his Saudi counterpart, Faisal Bin Farhan Al Saud, and warned that the risk of “additional escalation is real”. “The Iranian nuclear program threatens not only Israel, but also Saudi Arabia and the broader stability of the region. Countries here share a clear objective: to prevent nuclear proliferation. Germany is firmly attached to de-escalation, “he wrote on X.
President Emmanuel Macron said he spoke to his Iranian counterpart and called for “diplomatic and national installations in Iran and the region in the broad sense so as not to be targeted in any case”. “I also urged the greatest restraint to avoid climbing. The Iran’s nuclear program is a serious concern and must be resolved by negotiation,” wrote Macron on X.
“So I invited the president [Masoud] Pezeshkian to quickly return to the negotiation board to reach an agreement-the only viable path to de-escalation … We are ready to contribute and mobilize all our efforts to achieve this goal, “he added.
Pope Leo XIV called Israel and Iran to show responsibility and reason.
“The situation in Iran and Israel has seriously deteriorated at such a delicate moment. I wish to force a call for responsibility and reason,” said the Pope in a statement. “The commitment to build a safer world without nuclear threat must be prosecuted by a respectful meeting and a sincere dialogue,” he said.
“No one should never threaten the existence of the other,” he added.
